DAY 2
The second day we wanted to make Panama City Beach and 78mi ride so we got rolling fairly early in the morning. We stopped around lunch to buy some food at the grocery store and Adam and I were so glad to be off the bike and in air conditioning we ended up walking around for about a half hour. As we continued down Hwy 98 we got some local advice to take a scenic road called 30A that runs through Sea Side and a bunch of other small beach communities. 30A was fantastic road to ride with low traffic and plenty to see. Since our bodies weren't used to riding these kinds of distances with all the weight we were pretty tired when we finally got to Panama City. After getting a bite to eat we started to scout a place to camp. We were able to find a little dirt road that seemed out of the way so we set up camp and jumped inside the tent before the bugs ate us alive. We found out that bugs in the florida summer are a down side to stealth camping but all in all it worked out well. We fell asleep about 7pm and didn't wake up till dawn.
