From The Road

Day 3
We decided to take a slow day on day 3 to give our bodies a chance to recover and since the ride was a solid tree line for about 40mi. During one of our rest breaks we met Larry, a fellow tourist of 41 that after getting laid off decided to get on his bike and ride across America. He started in Seattle on Jan 31st and is making his way up to Boston. We road with him for about ten miles but broke off when we got to the town of Mexico Beach. Mexico beach was a small laid back beach town with a lot people who were very friendly people including Scott and Emily who owned a local beach bar and let us eat and drink for free. We headed on down the road to Port St Joe and called it a day when we found a spot out of the way to camp. Once again the bugs were pretty bad so we made dinner inside the tent even though it goes against every rule of camping.
